TECA is proud to offer the Quality First Air-to-Air Heat Pump Design (Residential) Course, a state-of-the-art virtual training program designed to equip HVAC professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to design, install, and maintain efficient residential air-to-air heat pump systems.

Thanks to a recently signed Contribution Agreement with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) under the Toward Net-Zero Homes and Communities Program (TNZ), we are now offering this course at a subsidized rate, making it more accessible to professionals across Canada.

This course is a TECA-led initiative, developed by industry experts to meet the growing demand for sustainable HVAC solutions.

Eligibility Criteria & Prerequisites

To ensure participants are prepared for the course, the following TECA prerequisites (or equivalent knowledge) are required:

  • TECA – Quality First Heat Loss & Gain Calculations
  • TECA – Quality First Principles of Moving Air
  • Participants who have not completed these prerequisites may demonstrate equivalent industry courses or by passing a competency exam

Course Fee

  • Subsidized rate: $650 + tax per student
  • Special discounts for equity seeking groups: A limited number of seats will be provided at no cost for those who identify as someone who meets the criteria noted in the Canadian Employment Equity Group, please contact Todd Backus at tbackus@teca.ca for additional details.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a TECA Certification, recognized across the HVAC industry.
