Heat pump system must be capable of distributing heat throughout the entire conditioned space in the house

Canada Greener Homes Grant initiative (CGHG)

  • A minimum of one warm air supply outlet or indoor head per floor is required for each dwelling unit occupying space on a floor, including a mezzanine level that includes a room with a door and for basements with a height of 1.8 m (5 ft. 11 in.) or higher. The height of the basement is measured from the top of the floor slab to the bottom of the ceiling joist.
  • In case of mini- and multi - split units a minimum of two heads or warm air supply outlets (for compact ducted) must be installed in order to access the grants.
