Sharrah is a certified Class B Gas Fitter with over 20 years of experience in HVAC design and installation. She began her career in her family’s HVAC business in BC’s interior, gaining hands-on experience in both design and field installation. She spent 14 years in the City of Vancouver with a mechanical contractor as a designer, estimator, project coordinator, and sales professional, specializing in residential HVAC and hydronic retrofits. In 2016, she transitioned into working as a senior mechanical designer for a professional design-build organization on commercial and residential mechanical projects throughout Canada, including the Arctic region, where she focused on delivering innovative, code-compliant HVAC solutions through close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
Now serving as Manager of Programs Development at TECA, Sharrah brings a unique blend of practical installation knowledge and technical design expertise to her role. She is also a dedicated instructor for several TECA courses, sharing her passion for advancing the HVAC industry and mentoring the next generation of mechanical designers and tradespeople.
