Energy Step Code

The Energy Step Code is a set of incremental performance steps for new buildings, adopted in 2017, that go from the BC Building Code to Net Zero Energy ready buildings. The first half of this presentation will help builders understand what's in the new Step Code and how it can add value to their projects. The second half will provide an overview of the BC Codes consultation process, and what builders can expect related to codes in 2018. Presenter is Zachary May, Acting Director of Policy and Codes Development with the Building and Safety Branch.
